Montreal FIAT

Even in its semi-ragged state, the clean Tom Tjaarda-penned lines of the FIAT 124 are really classic. In later years they seem to be victims of their former popularity. Too cheap to maintain properly, too common to restore.  But in fairness, it's really great design to look upon.

Going through serious withdrawal, folks.

This photo was taken on the occasion of the last time I drove my GT4 this year.  That was in Mid November. I really can't wait to get the car back on the road in ferbruary or March.  I'm starting to go a little crazy.

Inside Alpine-Renault's racing workshop

I love this period photo of the Alpine racing workshop in Dieppe, France.  I had seen photos of the factory floor before, but I love that this shot seems to show only racing cars being prepared.  Fantastic light and atmosphere as well. I can imagine the smell of fuel-soaked concrete and the noises of hammers, ratchets, and muffled French echoing in this cavernous hall.
