Subtle details on a non-subtle car
The Countach screams for attention, but I am also drawn to some of its refined details. I love the subtle courses of perforation in the upholstery, seen in this shot I took at Greenwich last year.

A former GTO owner takes us on an intimate trip down memory lane as we watch some old Super 8 footage of him and his friends with their GTO Ferraris back when they were just used cars to play around with. Oh to be a 19 year old in 1969 with my very own GTO! The car belonging to the narrator is now in the collection of Ralph Lauren. Here we get a glimpse of its wilder youth! The part where they are painting the 250 GT California matte black is just outstanding. The footage is just perfect. In today's world of hipstomatic and After Effects filters, it's great to see real Super 8 footage that captures the time pefectly.
If you can stomach listening to me talking about cars and my watch company for two 28 minute segments, please have a listen!
Wes Garcia over at Megadeluxe was kind enough to interview me for his most excellent site! Definitely book mark it, as he posts some amazing stuff all the time!
Part one of the interview is about my personal cars and car design. The first 5 minutes are skippable but then it gets rolling!
Part two is about how I went about starting the watch company, and some other tangents!
A very unusual color, but it is a factory shade! Verde Germoglio. This is one of the few GT4's I have ever seen besides my own that has the double badging in the nose, which was done at the end of the Series 1 cars.
Carlo Chiti, head of Autodelta, gesticulates next to an amazing shelf of wind tunnel models related to the development of the Alfa Romeo Tipo 33. Only please notice that the model just next to his left hand is clearly that of a Porsche 908/03 Spider. Evidently, they were studying the competition very closely! Sadly the true nemesis of the Tipo 33 turned out to be the Ferrari 312 PB, which proved more reliable than the Alfa.
