Introducing the Vic Elford Edition Prototipo Chronograph

Our latest design at Autodromo is the all-new Prototipo Chronograph, inspired by racing watches of the late 1960s and early 1970s. The centerpiece of the collection is the Vic Elford Edition, limited to 224 numbered pieces with a booklet signed by Quick Vic himself! The color scheme of the watch is inspired by the paintwork on Elford's Porsche 907 with which he dominated the 1968 Targa Florio, winning by 3 minutes and 42 seconds, even after losing nearly 19 minutes due to wheel nuts coming lose and then a flat tire! He set multiple lap records in the process.

Head over to www.autodromo.com for full details and specs! The Prototipo is also available in white dial and black dial.

The caseback of the Vic Elford bears a map of the Targa Florio circuit, as well as Elford's record practice lap and even faster record race lap!

Autodromo's first Automatic Watch: The Monoposto

Some of you are already in the know, but for the rest, I am very excited to tell you about our latest offering from Autodromo!  The new Limited Edition Monoposto is our very first watch with an Automatic mechanical movement, and is available in black or silver dial versions.  The entire edition is 500 pieces, and each comes individually numbered, and with a numbered collectors box.

As the name implies, the Monoposto is Autodromo's homage to the midcentury Grand prix car, and its dial is inspired by the dinner-plate sized tachometers found on single seaters of the 1950s.  A characteristic detail of the watch is the redline on the inside of the watch crystal, as a reference to the old school practice of painting or taping the rev limit onto the rev counter's glass directly to warn the driver when to shift.

The Monoposto is in stock and ready to ship for the holidays, priced at just $875 USD for the ultimate car guy gift under 1000 bucks!  www.autodromo.com
