Video of the Week: Scary Lime Rock Crash

I hope my parents aren't watching because here is a rather unpleasant crash at Lime Rock Park featuring the exact same number 34 car that      I drove earlier that season in racing school!  Crazy!

Thankfully everyone was all right, demonstrating the safety of the circuit and of the Skip Barber Formula Cars.  Enjoy the carnage from multiple views!

They don't look like Schnikes to me.

Lance is correct: Schnikes have those little florvels on the side-pods to maximize the influx. They must be Vicintas.

Whatever they are, I always had trouble with that part of the course myself.

Lesson here is don't put a rear tire on the grass and then turn into a 90 mph bend...

Lesson is "in a spin, two feet in." If the driver of the car that spun had kept his foot hard on the brakes and kept the wheels locked up, he would have moved in a straight and predictable trajectory. The car behind would then have had a good chance of avoiding the incident.
