Tuesday Mystery Car

Spotted in the financial district.  This will be an easy one for some. Super hard for others.

I'm sure it's a licensed Mini, probably an Innocenti.

1980ish Mini Clubman?

That's indeed a Clubman.

Yes indeed you are right, it is a Mini Clubman. Probably 1976 or 77, I think. I actually have started to like the front end design on these lately, just because it is so unexpected and obscure.

I knew it to be a Clubman, but when you single out the front, it really has a Japanese, car of that era, front end. especially with that Non UK number plate..BTW What lens are you using for the shots? Nice shallow depth of field.

yep, mini something (bloody hell they made enough versions). tell tale signs are the curved windshield (horizontal axis), penny size wheels and tires, front blinkers. All the parts are from the same mini parts bin. That and union jack on fender and the lousy fit and finish ;-).

The windscreen appears to be curved on a vertical axis. Of course, if you happen to be lying down when you look at it...

Ex UK plate underneath

It's definitely a Clubman, but probably more a '79. I grew up in France and remember seeing quite a few of these.
