The iconic Gulf Porsche 917K was the real star in the film. Aside from the 917K, the Ferrari 512s was also used to add that visual and audio appeal to racing enthusiasts. Le Mans was 1.5 million dollars over budget, but it did make 19 million dollars at the box office. http://www.clampelec.com.au/
