In those colors and from that angle that's a very good looking car -- high praise from someone whose taste usually runs to sports cars from across the pond.

It's on Main Street in Cold Spring, NY
Lousy service though. Not recommended.

It's a pretty nice ride out to Cold Spring, after the first 25 miles or so. Of course you have to drive those same 25 miles on the way back -- with the sun in your eyes.

I recommend taking the Palisades up, and then taking 9W back for a ways. You need to cross the Bear Mountain and GW bridges twice though. But trust me it's less traffic and a lot more scenic.

Correct on both counts. But you have to drive through the city going and coming. Alternative: live in the Boonies? Fug-gedaboudit!

If you are coming from Brooklyn, you can make it from the Brooklyn Bridge to the GW bridge in 20 minutes if the traffic is light, by taking the FDR. It's by far the fastest way out of the city. And it's free of tolls going out.

I know about that; I've lived in Brooklyn since 1970 and used to take that trip several times each summer. However, others taking the very enjoyable drive you suggest would do well to know both sides of the story. Traffic is rarely "light", especially on the way back. Don't stay home, folks; just know what you might be in for.

True. Traffic can be bad coming home on the FDR but I have never encountered delays on the FDR on a weekend in the morning going North.
