It's ironic that Mercedes could build such exciting test cars but none of that design made it into road cars. I wonder what a Mercedes-built BMW M1 competitor would look like?
True. I guess Mercedes figured they could get more publicity with less risk by breaking records with these cars than by spending a ton on racing with questionable results. It speaks to a very teutonic logic, I suppose.
