Google images is probably about to catch fire because of me. I can't figure this out. The shape and color make me lean towards a domestic manufacturer but the rubber strip between the hood and bumper are a little troubling.
Possibly a show car from GM or Chrysler. The color doesn't look GM, but the hood scoops do - sort of Pontiac Firebird-esque. The baroque lines at the top, where a bug deflector might be, are too complex for anything other than a show car, whatever they are. Will you give us the answer after a certain number of wrong guesses, a certain number of days, weeks, never?
On the other hand, if it's the back of a car, they aren't hood scoops, just silly bumps, and the baroque line is the contour of the back window, or a shut line for a hood or trunk - either way, front or back. I give up. The photographer, plainly visible reflected in the chrome, is obviously some kind of badass.

Is my respect enough of a prize?

It's domestic, and it's pre-1970.

Badass indeed. I had to jump in front of this car as it hurtled towards me...
Not ready to quit on this one yet - but I will freely admit to needing another hint.
Mopar
Based on that last hint my guess is a Dodge Charger. '68 or '69?
I think it was a 69 or even a 70, actually. But yes, it is a Charger.
