De Tomaso Mangusta - the ultimate gallery

The De Tomaso Mangusta is, for my money, the finest-looking Italian sports car of its time.  Though notorious for its unpredictable driving dynamics, it sure looks the part when it's standing still!  This stunning black over burnt orange example was recently sold by Exotic Classics of Syosset, NY. What I really love is that Exotic Classics doesn't just buy and sell vehicles in a mercenary fashion. They lovingly and artistically photograph each car in their own high end photo studio as well. I have provided their full Mangusta Gallery here on Automobiliac. Please have a look at their site for more achingly beautiful shots of a variety of cool cars!

Best-looking Italian sports car of its time -- correct.
The rear wheel openings look just a bit too big to me -- a nit pick.
Nobody ever accused Elvis of being too bright -- even when he wasn't stoned.

Lance, I think it is more a matter of the wheel diameter being too small and tire sidewall being too thick. I like my cars period correct, but I have to say a modern set of rims on here would make the car seem surprisingly contemporary.

One of the best looking cars ever made, and I do like the wheel/rim combo.
Hard to believe this is a real car, it almost looks like an incredible detailed model car.

Fantastic looking car. Reminds me of the Monteverdi Hai in sideview, another great design.
