Tuesday Afternoon Mystery Car
Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 12:35PM
A Propos of Kanye's Tatra from yesterday, can anyone name this equally obscure and equally small volume early 90s supercar? Two hints: It's not a modded Diablo. It's not a cheap car with a body kit.

Is it an actual Vector W2? - for a while they were thought to be "mythical"
it's a cizeta v16, this desing was for one of the prototipes for the lamborghini diablo.
Mike is correct! It is the Cizeta-Moroder V16T. It was in fact designed by Marcello Gandini, and you can clearly see the basis for the lines of his Diablo. Only between 8 to 10 cars were ever produced, and supposedly 2 of them are in the garage of the Sultan of Brunei. The most bizarre technical aspect of the car was its transverse mounted V16 engine! I think this car is about the only one next to which the Diablo looks tasteful in comparison...
this thing is pretty hideous! the stacked headlights remind me of the mutant fish from "the simpsons."
It's basically like the Diablo had a baby with the Family Truckster from National Lampoons Vacation...
There was one of these in the US a while back if I read correctly. If I recall the owner never got it EPA certified so it was impounded.
Correct. The g-men came and seized it, as they have been cracking down on gray market cars. Complete unmitigated BS.
